Website Design Cost
Website design prices vary greatly depending on where you go to get a quote. Large website design companies with lots of staff and high overheads will charge you much more for a website than smaller design companies or independent freelancers. In each case the quality of work is likely to be just as good, but the difference in price for even a basic website could be as much as hundreds of pounds.
At The Website Design Company, we monitor what our competitors charge to ensure that our prices are the most competitive you will find. We will not be beaten on price! If you think you might be able to get the job done cheaper else where, simply tell us and we will revise any quotation which we may have given you.
Outlined below are our starting prices for website design. (These prices are applicable to all of the websites found on our website samples page. For more complex websites, data-base driven websites and much larger scale projects, prices available on application)
- Static web pages (consisting of text/graphics/images) - £75 per page.
- Search engine registration and website optimization - free
- Updates and alterations to website content - £35/hour (minimum charge 1 hour)
- Printable pages of your website in PDF format (eg. brochures, forms, manuals) - £50 per page
- Domain name £12.95
- Web space/hosting (this is a rental fee for the space on the internet where your website will sit) - £58.95 per year
- Websites consisting of 10 pages or more are subject to discounted price rates
Please note, these prices serve only as a rough guide. There are many variables which can alter them, for example the number of images you might want on a page of your website. Clearly a web page consisting of 5 images will take less time to create than a web page consisting of 50 images. Ideally we need from you a full specification listing your exact requirements before we can give you a quote.
